Creating a commemoration plaque for a leading West End theatre
The Victoria Palace is a leading historical theatre located opposite Victoria Station.
In December 2017, Victoria Palace underwent a £50 million revamp. The magnificently refurbishment includes restored historical features, a spectacular new light feature, new viewing boxes and a completely overhauled backstage with new showers and dressing rooms.
A plaque to withstand the test of time
To celebrate this extensive restoration, the Victoria Palace invited us to create a commemorative plaque to be unveiled on the theatre’s relaunch evening. As the plaque was the relaunch evening’s central focus, it needed to be perfect.
A traditional bronze plaque – perfect for prosperity
In light of this, we worked closely with the Victoria Palace management to create the perfect plaque for them. This included a thorough consultation process to discuss the plaque’s details such as layout and typeface. From this, we created a traditional looking reverse etched patina bronze plaque that shone at the relaunch evening. We’re proud to make a plaque that will celebrate British history for decades to come.
